ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Under our Constitution, the Annual General Meeting must be held in April each year.

In 2026, the AGM will be held, again, at the Unley Town Hall, Oxford Terrace Unley (pictured below) from 9.15am to 11.15am on Sunday 19 April.

Members only

The meeting is for APA members, rather than the general public. If you are an APA Member, the agenda for the AGM will arrive in an email from secretary@adelaide-parklands.asn.au by mid-April, several days before the AGM.

A guest speaker has been invited but at 16 March had not yet been confirmed.

Draft Minutes of the previous (2025) AGM will be included in the agenda for the 2026 AGM.

The Minutes of the previous AGM are always considered “draft” until confirmed at the subsequent Annual General Meeting.

Two deadlines

  1. Leadership positions - NOMINATE BY 12 april

Nominations to join the Committee of the Adelaide Park Lands Association can be received now, and will close one week before the AGM, i.e. no later than Sunday 12 April 2026. Before that date, we’ll hold an information session to brief prospective leadership candidates.

2. Motions for the AGM - SUBMIT BY 5 april

If you would like the AGM to consider endorsing any particular motion, then your motion must be received earlier, by Easter Sunday, 5 April. That will allow an opportunity for the APA Committee to consider any/all draft motions for possible inclusion in the agenda. That precaution is necessary in case multiple people suggest similar motions.

Who can attend the AGM?

Although this is a public web page, invitations to the AGM and access to the full agenda will be issued only to APA’s current financial Members. Your regular APA emailed newsletter “Open, Green, Public” will inform you whether you are a Member, or not.
