Adelaide Nature challenge

by Shane Sody

Save a day at the end of April to make citizen science observations in your Park Lands.

The City Nature Challenge is returning for a four-day period (Friday 26th to Monday 29th April)

In your Park Lands, (and/or anywhere else in Greater Adelaide) simply take a pic of any wild plant, animal, bird, or insect and upload it to the world-wide citizen science platform iNaturalist.

There’s no age limit for citizen scientists!

All observations from Greater Adelaide will be pooled, so Adelaide citizen scientists can compete with participants in other cities, all over the world!

If you haven't done so already, you can download the iNaturalist app (available free from Google's PlayStore or the Apple AppStore).

Learn more about the world-wide City Nature Challenge here: https://www.citynaturechallenge.org/

Or, visit the Greater Adelaide City Nature Challenge page on iNaturalist: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/city-nature-challenge-2024-greater-adelaide?tab=about

Just mark the dates in your calendar and get into nature, with your phone, any time over that four-day period, 26 to 29 April.

Help to get your Park Lands biodiversity recorded as part of this year's Greater Adelaide City Nature Challenge.
