Art Prize exhibition - closing soon

by Rosemary Warmington, AM

The Finalists’ Exhibition at the Adelaide Festival Centre has 89 artworks from 85 talented artists.

The Festival Centre Gallery is open from 10am to 3 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and in the evenings before and during shows at the Festival Centre.

Your last chance to see it, in person, is on Saturday, April 26th.

However there are two other ways that you can view (and/or purchase!) the artworks. You can walk around a virtual exhibition here:

Or you can scroll through (with the option to purchase) each of the 89 artworks here: https://www.adelaide-parklands.asn.au/2025-art-prize-artworks

Special events

We have a couple of special events for those planning a visit to the Exhibition.

Easter SaturdaY, 19 APRIL

On Easter Saturday, April 19th, at 1:45 pm, I’ll be leading a free Exhibition Walk-around. It’s a great way to get out and about and check out the art. A nice thing to do on an Easter Saturday, especially if you’re not going away on an Easter Holiday. If you’re coming to the Walk-around, meet me by the Park Lands Art Prize banner near the entrance to the Exhibition gallery.

There can be some surprises too! At our last Walk-around on April 12th, some finalists joined us and talked about their work and what inspired them. It was great to hear the detail about their work and what it means to them to be a part of the show. You never know who might be there!

Saturday 26 April

The other special event is on Saturday 26 April at 2 pm in the Festival Centre Gallery.

Margaret Ambridge, the First Prize Winner, will be giving a talk on the making of her winning work, “Bush for Life”. You’ll get the behind-the-scenes information on what inspired Margaret and her artistic process.
