The head of a State Government agency trying to make Adelaide “greener” and “wilder” has urged community groups to be "shouting from the rooftops" about the Government's "ridiculous" plans to turn over 70 hectares of river-front Adelaide Park Lands for development.

Professor Chris Daniels advocates “re-wilding” the River Torrens which puts him in conflict with Government plans for massive new “Riverbank” buildings on Open Green Public Park Lands.

Faced with a Government threat to rob future generations of 70 hectares of Park Lands, the message from the Town Hall is at best confusing.

At worst, it seems like key figures within the Council are preparing to cave in to the Government’s park theft agenda. APA’s Shane Sody reports:
