"Corridor in the Sky" for better hospital and Park Lands
The Adelaide Park Lands Association has backed calls by medical staff for the State Government to review the proposed new Women's and Children's Hospital site on Park Lands.
The proposed new WCH would obliterate a triangular, beautifully landscaped part of the Park Lands off Port Road, but there are better options available as other cities have already demonstrated.

Pleased to meet you Mariagrazia
When Mariagrazia Panetta draws back her bow each morning at the archery range in Bullrush Park / Warnpangga (Park 10), any tension she is carrying drops and her sense of wellbeing soars.
After migrating from Italy four years ago, Mariagrazia has found a passion for both archery, and the unique Adelaide Park Lands.

12-thousand new plants for Park 20 stormwater project
More than 12-thousand new shrubs, trees and reeds are about to be planted in Blue Gum Park / Kurangga (Park 20) as part of a stormwater management project, due for completion later this year.
The stormwater project is the little sibling of the much larger wetlands nearing completion in the southern half of Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16).

Helen Mayo deserves better
South Australia's first female doctor would be turning in her grave if she knew how poorly the City Council and the former State Government were managing the Park named in her honour.
We’re on a mission to get this Park worthy of the name of Helen Mayo, and celebrated as part of your Open Green Public Adelaide Park Lands.
Heritage Advocacy for election
As the Federal election draws near, the Adelaide Park Lands Association has joined a new body: the Australian Heritage Advocacy Alliance.
The Alliance is pointing out to election candidates the dozens of heritage assets either lost or at risk and your Adelaide Park Lands are being included in the advocacy campaign.

Motor racing back - for how long?
With months-long preparations for a four-day carbon emission festival set to return to Victoria Park, local residents hope that the City Council doesn’t renege on its promises to investigate increasing tree cover.
The Adelaide 500 motorsport anachronism will start taking over the Park, later this year, replacing the COVID-19 test station, but Park lovers haven’t given up Reimagining Victoria Park.
Bells ringing out for a Guided Walk
The bells of St Peters cathedral - and a brand new Garden Market - greeted participants on our Guided Walk, last Sunday 27 March through Tarntanya Wama (Park 26).
A crowd of 40 joined APA's Park Ambassador Helen Hutton, on an informative two-and-a-half hour walk in glorious sunshine through Creswell Gardens, Pennington Gardens, Stella Bowen Park, Light's Vision, Pinky Flat and Elder Park.

Sports fields and sheds in two Parks
The City Council is inviting expressions of interest for sporting fields and sports sheds in two Parks.
In each case, existing arrangements have expired. Rather than offer an automatic extension to the existing licensees, the Council is looking to see whether other groups might like to take over the use of existing playing fields and sheds.
Outlook for horse paddocks
More trees and enhanced equestrian facilities are on the wishlist for owners who keep horses in Park 6 of your Adelaide Park Lands. The City Council is reviewing its Community Land Management Plan for the Park, and will get feedback from horse owners keen to ensure that the Park can be enjoyed for generations to come – and improved where necessary.
Petition Victory
After getting 3,998 signatures on a petition to “Save Helen Mayo Park” we are celebrating a victory.
Premier Steven Marshall failed to listen. He's now lost his job. His lack of vision in trying to destroy Helen Mayo Park with a stadium has disappeared as well. However, the new Labor State Government also has a number of threats to your Park Lands on its agenda.
