The long-awaited skate park in Gladys Elphick Park / Narnungga (Park 25) has been hit by construction delays and its completion has been pushed back until early next year.

With new funding offered by the Federal Government, the City Council has revised the skate park design and added a new feature, a mini-bowl, with work on the site expected to re-start soon.

A new urban forest has taken root in Reservoir Park / Kangatilla (Park 4).

It’s growing into a Mallee Box woodland - the type of landscape that existed here before European settlement. It’s a demonstration site for pursuing two goals: (a) carbon capture, and (b) restoring lost biodiversity.

A steering committee is preparing to engage communities in Thebarton, Mile End and North Adelaide to spark ideas for re-greening a neglected part of Bonython Park / Tulya Wardli (Park 27) off Port Road.
