In the lead-up to next month’s opening of the 2023 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize exhibition, all finalist-selected artists will be invited to a Town Hall reception with the Lord Mayor, Jane Lomax Smith.

The Lord Mayor’s reception will come just days before the opening of the exhibition at the Festival Centre, when the prize-winners will be announced.

The Adelaide City Council has recognised overwhelming community support for protecting the Open Green Spaces of your Park Lands.

Despite intransigence from the State Government, the Council is now backing calls to re-think the proposed site of a new State Aquatic Centre.

If the State Government loved your Park Lands, it would help you get access to a part of your Park Lands that’s been off limits for the past three years.

However there seems to be no hurry to restore your Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16) to Open Green Public any time soon.
