"Release the hit list"

Despite a promise of “extensive consultation” the State Government is still with-holding most of its plans for the North Adelaide golf course in the urban forested Possum Park /Pirltawardli (Park 1 of your Adelaide Park Lands).

You can urge the Premier to identify every one of the 585 mature trees that he admits he wants to destroy.

Trees save lives

Research has found that in cities, trees save lives, by improving health.

The research, reported by the World Economic Forum, is casting doubt on State Government claims that it needs to destroy trees to build infrastructure, such as a hospital, a car park and an aquatic centre.

Fencing fails

Hopes have been raised that your Helen Mayo Park might soon become more accessible as the City Council investigates whether to remove an ineffective wire fence.

I did not speak out

Most parts of your Adelaide Park Lands are still ‘Open Green, Public.’

But many other parts are not. Hundreds of parts have been taken from you, over the years, always for very good reasons, of course.

Long delays restoring Victoria Park

If the State Government loved your Park Lands, it would help you get access to a part of your Park Lands that’s been off limits for the past three years.

However there seems to be no hurry to restore your Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16) to Open Green Public any time soon.
